Ontario Pro Challenge has 18 cars and would really put on a show at Delaware.
Don Thomsons brother Dennis currently leads the points race.
Ya they don't have a big car count but if they come to Delaware and have a decent car count, they will get the series noticed at a track like Delaware... And maybe it will spark some new drivers to go over there and run the following year.

Would like to see a format similar to that of New Smyrna 10 day program. Requires by-laws, good track pavement, 2 good lines,
facilities to meet the demands, officials from various tracks to manage rules and officiate the program on a shared basis including revenues.
Now what track in Ontario could handle something like this ???
Our mods in Mi do run 970's.
No tube fronts, no racks.
But what the Mi tracks are doing is eaching having there own rules, for example, front tube clips and rack and pinions are legal for Delaware home track cars.
And then state that USA, AMS, Spartan, Owosso, Auto city, and Kalamazoo cars are also legal to race.
Teams must be prepared to state the rules that their car conforms to, and provide stated rule book.
Most of the differeces between tracks is minor, in many cases just to keep the locals legal, and not cause their stuff to be suddenly outlawed.
There are really only three issues preventing mods from Mi racing at Delaware. Weight, engines, and alcohol fuel.
We weigh 2400 lbs after feature, driver in car, or 2450 lbs with alum heads.
Our engine rules are simply 970 hoosiers on 8" wheels.
Maybe 20% of the mods here run alcohol.
We had a lot of Fun at Delaware last Sept with our mod. We would love to race there more often.
On a side note, some tracks are also changing the outlaw latemodels to 970's on 10" wheels in Mi., and it's proving to be fairly succesful.

like your first idea Harv re ASA, but no Pro Challenge until they can guarantee 20-25 cars.-most of the time it's the same 12. For that matter, no tours that can't give decent car numbers-for example ARCA trucks.
I think the arca trucks had 23 in sauble, and the last race i went to the cars had 36 for a short track.. not sure if anyone was sent home and of the 36 3 were start and park..probably for points towards daytona next winter..
I would say the most tru and true race would be arca, they have the cars, the teams have the support, and most in the series are looking to move up to the three big nascar series... maybe with the suggested new racing surface next year there will be 2-2.5 lanes to race on??? ( be nice to have the NCTS and ARCA on the same weekend, not be gouged at the gate, and allwed to sit on the hill and enjoy a beer without hiding it of course)
Really looking forward to the weekend, and with any luck will be able to catch saturdays show..
