Man "rebuilt" engine you can pound all day long id gunna run a few bucks. Buy a GM 290hp Crate or an exchange motor maybe. With the cost of machining nowadays it's tough to a motor cheap. Now with that being said we had a motor out of roofing truck that actually won races! we traded it for a bbq lunch we threw for the guys employees!!

guy at ohsweken ran the cheaper gm truck motor crate 305..he got to run a stick tranny tho while the others were using a 602 crate and 2 speedglide, but he won a feature and was always up front with some good power...
