everyone says 4 banger would be slow to watch at delaware .....mosport runs them ive seen them and they even have numbers on there cars  lol and thats there biggest class although still kinda low counts ...run the a real 4 banger race same day as the chaos cars theres more mini stocks around then almost any other class in ontario there
so many  would show up they would have to run a C feature .......or will it never happen because delly didnt think of it first ...
NOW do be saying im hating on delaware cause i go almost every week i think its great ,and i tour race every sat almost but i still make time to support my local track 🙂

I know other tracks Bomber, Bucket, or 4CYL class is ovals is usually the biggest. Big O gets at least 25-30 each week that I've seen (when I've been), and others as well. Any new class takes time to cut teeth.

Speed is relative i.e. it doesn't matter so much what the ultimate speed is, as long as most of the cars are competitive, it can still be an entertaining show.

Delaware has tried 4 cylinder invitationals in the past, the problem is that they were always on Saturdays - the day virtually every other track in SW Ontario runs. If they tried them on a Friday night, maybe they'd get a better feel for the interest?

A zero cambered bone stock '91 Acura Integra 5 Spd pulled 24.7's on this track, and that's a 1.8L DOHC with no mods. This car went slower when I lightened it (wicked push from no rear weight), and cambered the wheels. In the rain, the 'little one' (nickname for the car) led 12 laps before i had a ground issue with the fuel pump. The big rear drivers couldn't even come close to the handling..... but it did get rocked in dry full race conditions. I had actually lapped the entire field in 9 laps in the wet.... and that is documented.

This is a viable class, if guys put the time into it, and definitely fun as a barrel of monkeys.

4 cylinder invitationals ture im talking about a weekly 4 banger class ....there missing the bus they would triple any class they have in 2 years then those 4 bangers could move up as time went on going from chaos to truck or super stock is a big jump
as dougy said this would be a great class ......
