I think the point is...if he knew much about racing, he could have figured that out....

Problem is, they have to keep talking while they're figuring it out.

Actually, the line of patter was something like, "were not sure what the Robblee crew is doing down there exactly. There's a lot of smoke and it looks like they may actually be pouring fluid on the brake rotors. That doesn't make a LOT of sense because that'll usually shatter the rotors...so its either really hot water or they're doing somethig else. Now the crewman is going over to do the other side...and now a plume of smoke off the right side. We're not really sure WHAT they're doing, but its sure putting up a lot of smoke."

They guys were just speculating, and they even said they were speculating. They weren't saying for sure what was happening, only what they could see.

Now Shadow, unless you took shorthand at the track, it was a few times alot of speculation, I also sort of remember "it's on fire, flames, etc. don't quote me, because I kind of tuned out, as I really thought John had forgotten to turn his mic off. Some of what was being said I would call  "inside voice". I really like John's annoucing, but have to admit they could have waited to hear from track side what really was going on. Once again that's why I like this forum, people exchanging their thoughts.

Oh I understand, and no offense taken. I also understand that as track staff, its bad form for them to wade in on this kind of thing, so they don't have much of a voice here. I just want to be sure they're being treated fairly.

Believe me, they're not infallible. I rip em one every once in a while too.

Definately official as we got paid the big cheque and I noticed that the final points are now listed on Delaware's site. Pretty sad that it takes more than two days to get something up on Delawares site. They seem to forget the power of a website and they seem to rely on this Forum to give everyone info...either way  great race...

Great to hear all went well, what all was checked after the race?

Well we run an AP Performance Race Engines - spec motor, in the red car not a sealed 604 crate like the one Kyle runs. They tore it down, just like the old days. All was good though..Car is for sale...shadow, I could see you in that Red rocket...LOL
