No, there would have been two payouts.

Would the year end point fund pay out not more than compensate a 50 lap champoinship race??? tweek the points for the 50 lap race.... add in qualifying and the ponts that go along with that??

50 laps would be awsome but im not sure the trucks can run 50 laps on fuel

I don't think the Mods can run 50 laps on fuel either.

All 50 laps does is spread the field out. Twin 25s with some kind of an inversion is the way to go. IMO one of the good things to come out of the LM format this year is going back to 25 lap races. Shorter, more immediate, more interesting...from where I sit.

Some might think it causes more wrecks, but I think its interesting how the first one normally goes light on incidents and the second is the wreck filled one, even if they line up straight-up.
