OK, so TNT inititally stood for Tuesday Night Thunder. Then it turned into Thurs night Thunder. But...now here it is on Friday morning. So whatever. Friday Morning Thunder...but I'm not changing the initials.  You get what you pay for.  ;D

As always, the weekly (or as close as I can get to weekly ::)) rankings are all about how the Delaware drivers stack up against one another independent of what division they run in. As always, although these results are based purely on stats, it is to be considered an opinion piece. These results are compiled on my own and have absolutely no official sanction from Delaware Speedway and thus have no bearing on points or awards. Points are based on race finishes (heat and feature) as well as average lap times and plus/minus....mostly in equal measure.

drum roll....

And our top 10 performers for Delaware Speedway, Fri July 30, 2010 are....

10
Ron Sheridan AKA The Rocket. Mt Brydges ON.
Late Model 52

Ron was the yo-yo man last Friday night. Up at the front, then to the back, almost to the front again, then right back to the back....then clawing back up to 6th by the time the feature was over. Great show by the Rocketman!

9
Jamie Ramsay. London ON.
Late Model 22

Nabbed 5th in the feature and 2nd in the heats. Then went and scored a 6th at the big show in Sauble on Sat night. Ramsay has never been as consistent as he's been this year. Great job.

8
Jason Lidster. London ON.
Super Stock 11

Jason's pretty regular in the top 10 list and this week is no exception. Scraped out a 5th place finish after being involved in a crazy melee on the frontstretch at the initial green flag.

7
Matt Koricina. Ailsa Craig ON.
Demar Aggregates Truck 93

Had a pair of checkered flags last Friday, first in the heat race and then in the time-shortened feature after Scott O'Connor's brutal crash into the turn 4 wall. No asterisks here though...Matt had em' well covered before the crash happened.

6
Shawn "Sasquatch" Johns. St Marys ON.
Demar Aggregates Truck 00

A heat win, 2nd in the feature and bested the truck field on pos gained. Shawn's always a threat with the double-ought and it was almost his night for a feature win.

5
"Cowboy" Kris Lawrence. London ON.
Super Stock 28

Another guy who's no stranger to the top 10. Scored a 2nd in the feature and a 4th in the heat, but still had A-1 lap times and bested the rest of the Delaware drivers (all divisions) in pos gained...for the 2nd time this month!  Nuff said.

4.
Cole Powell. Delaware ON.
Late Model 25

Cole was certainly racey this past Friday and has been getting closer to a feature win as the season progresses. Looked like he might have had something for Robblee this past week, and that's saying something! Lap times and pos gained were excellent. Look for the 25 to be a legit threat for the rest of the season.

3
Matt Humphreys. St Marys ON
Super Stock 04

Matt was loaded for bear last Friday and didn't look back once during the feature. Matt is beginning to come into his own here at Delaware and a pair of 1sts proves it.

2
Scott Lindsay. St Mary's ON,
Late Model 20

Another driver who's no stranger here. Scott was our feature winner, snagged 2nd in his heat, and bested the field in pos gained. He's the 3rd St Marys driver in the top 10 this week. Must be something in the water.

1
Steve Robblee. Dorchester ON.
Late Model 28

St Mary's might have cleaned up this week, but "Mr. Delaware" from Dorchester still sits atop the pile. He got a 2nd and a 3rd...and managed to barely squeak past Scott Lindsay by a single point just on averages. He owned the fastest times in the LM division.

Shadow's Picks
Actually this week its a tie. Both guys just missed the top 10 by a hair...so technically they'd be tied for 11th.

Kudos to both Gary Adraiensen, Truck 55 from London,  and Steve McCaw, Truck 82 from Komoka. Those are your 3rd and 4th place Truck feature finishers. And both of em' good guys too. Adraeinsen was solid all night long, and McCaw battled a few issues and still managed a 4th. Great job both of ya's.

Thanks Shadow for the shout out. We thought we had that one but the sway bar mount broke and it turned so loose I was struggling with it.
We will take a 4th and move forward.
