That is absolutly pathetic. Giving him a ticket... really. No wonder the child molesters are still out there, because the city worries about shit like this. It was exciting and safe and got people excited and brings in business for a local business... give me a freaking break.

Yes and no. Sure the burnouts and such were good press and made great video bits. However, if you hire police escort, and they tell you to take it easy and you don't, then there's a problem.

Remember, this wasn't like the Santa Claus Parade where the street is blocked off. This was in traffic. Admittedly, it looked like there were no other cars in the intersection, but there easily could have been...and if Mark had poorer burnout/donut control, it could have gotten messy. And incidentally, who's insurance would have covered any damages, Delaware's?

I get it that it was pretty cool to watch, but too many things could have gone wrong to just let it slide. Hate to be the wet blanket in this case, but these guys have got to use their heads and not get overzealous enough to blow an opportunty like this.

I hope Delaware pays for his ticket, because this is fantastic press for the speedway!
