This si exactly why they did it....and why it may be the best promotional move they have made in a long time....
Well looks like the boo-birds and the rah-rah guys are about even. 😀
Personally, I think its gonna be a fun night. You got one guy who's a serious big league contender, one guy who's "fan know-how" is second to none, and also happens to have 2 Daytona wins. (Some may say that doesn't count for much but I respectfully disagree.) Then you have the extreme sport guy. Lol....as it was put to me, maybe jumping right over is the best way to survive a Jon Urlin brake check. 😉
See, the way I look at it is this: No matter who you end up getting, it also draws the cream of the crop from around here...and they're bringing their A game. Nothing on the line except ego, and once things get heated, the shenanigans are sometimes worth the price of admission.
Its showbiz folks, and I think its gonna be a winner.
Looks like I'm the only one not to impressed with this line up. Clint? Ok, that's cool. But Mikey and Travis? I feel that most all of the llm drivers and lm drivers in Ontario are better than this guy who has done nothing to merit being at the level he's at. I was there last year, I won't this year.
I posted in another spot, 1 racer, and 2 TV personalities.
Agreed...
$40.00 for a g/a ticket??
Remeber Kyle in his shorts on pit road at lap 5?
This is far to expensive for my family ..
I have never been to Delaware Speedway, but I can say, as a real dire hard race fan I will definitely make the trip from Barrie to see this. Having looked around a little, I gotta assume like last year, it will still draw some of the great Ontario short track LM drivers and that in itself is almost worth the admission, throw in a 2 time Daytona 500 winner and pro for what seems like 40 years and successfull 3 car team owner, a very talented Cup driver, and a young up and comer (hopefully)...., my only question is, is it really worth the extra 20 bucks to sit on a seat vice a hillside?
Will make the trips for the NCATS race as well, hope I enjoy Delaware as much as I enjoy the 4 or 5 other Ontario tracks I frequent!
The Fan! 🙂
