Wow shadow, did you have too many beverages? Or did the hot sun get to you. Not sure what race you were watching, but Mathews was beside gressel all the way down the front straight(the whole time gressel was driving into him). Steve had the spot going into 1 and gressel bounced of his right front and around steve went.

I was standing in turn one in the infield and saw it happen.

WOW,  what a show.  Talk about a field with depth !  Great weather, great crowd.  Electric atmosphere all day.  Delaware,  congratulations. I loved the format.  I like the 4 heats, because I really didnt want to see anybody get wrecked in a heat.  Better with less cars in each heat.  Don' t add any other classes.  This is a straight LM show and should remain that way. So good to see some drivers back there, such as Kennedy, Hooker, Forth, etc to face the new challengers. It was sad to see some of the top names have troubles, but the way Gressel, Urlin, Kennedy, Watson, Matthews were running, they  would have had their hands full.  Nice to see Rankin and Baker there. Hope they come back.  Also, congrats to Corcoran and Monaghan on great, steady runs.  have not seen a crowd that big at Delaware in years.  Congratulatons again to all the drivers, track management and officials for a great show.

This is true, and it is certainly not the first time the 81 car has done this... very frustrating to watch someone try and prevent a pass that way.
