I am building a new hotrod for next season, and now have wittled my info into two versions. Heavy sway bar, number 6 shocks, and a light spring. Other choice is slightly heavier spring rate (over 800), with sway bar adjustments ( a lighter bar setup) , same kind of shocks. Since there's no weight restrictions for non V8 cars, I'm in a conundrum. This is rear drive, leaf spring rear with a good roll center. I also so not want to be stuck with the street stock line ( Delaware technically is a one-lane track sadly). What does a man do? It used to be with a reasonable roll center, good wedge so on higher spring rates, and adjust sway bar accordingly. I guess I'm a little out of date still.
Any input would be great.
i have heard that the big bar soft spring (bbss) setups are really tricky to get down pat. i still like the old methods π
Ye, see I believe that stock sway bars are limited, compared to what LLM guys run so on. Their bars are massive and adjustable, I really don't think you can run more than one line if you use BBSS setup. Even though Delaware is seriously one-laned for speed, I'd like to be able to run a little higher for when poopoo hits the fan.
