With what has trnspired over the past 10 days, the ammount of effort that has gone into not only this blog but other as well I fell that the track and or one man show as we now know it has done an admirable job. To say all is well would be an understatement, and again I am of the belief that the race director has or will be having meetings with the owners. Will the management team that left last week be back?? Only the owners and individuals know that for sure, but with what has been posted and quoted in both this site and the local paper would seem that too many bridges have been burned for that to happen.
Racing is just around the corner and the best way for us as fans to helkp out is by supporting the local track, make sure that you mention the racing connection when you support the many sponsors, tell all of the positive news and improvments, and have fun....
maybe the camping can be a weekly event and nbot just for the specials??? Any takers on running the camp ground?
Aside from camping, which could be fun too, I always thought tailgating might be fun. No one ever seems to be doing that up top before the races.
Maybe we can finally let our colors fly in public, and on opening day, have the first convention of the Loyal Order of the Mexicana Shack.

Camping has been free the last 2 years for the Friday night races and it ran itself. I expect to make use of it, when I'm down that way.
I love the idea of the pre-race tail gate party up top.... Maybe for opening night shadow you could host the event in the parking lot, and get the speedway to kick in a bbq for the first event.... open up the invitations by not only using this page, but also promote the events on the speedways home page... after all what better way to kick off the weekend then a prty on top of the hil, and for those so inclined staying after for the party by the camp fire???
Shadow you seem to have some conections at the track, maybe this can be your way to step up? or at least head up the 2007 Delaware party committee????

Yoiks. Apparently you overestimate my connection with management. Truth be told, I only ever talked to Kevin Bulmer a couple of times in passing, and I wouldn't know Amy Dugas if she came up and hoofed me in the nads' Yeah, I have a chat with the race director once in a very long while, but otherwise, any connections I have are connections that have come out of posting here.

You need to understand that I'm pretty protective of my role as a fan. Yeah, I probably could get more involved, but if I get any closer to it, I'd have to give up my comfy spot on the hill in turn 1...and at this stage, I don't wanna do that. I currently enjoy the option of getting as involved or not involved as I care to. You lose that once you get too close.
Only downside to doing a tailgate thing before the races is that because Delaware goes on Friday night, a lot of guys are either getting in there at the last minute, or, like many who post here, are busy doing other pre-race stuff...and there isn't a lot of time for chitchat before things get started. I find that oftentimes, I myself end up pulling into the lot and standing in the ticket line as the anthems are being played.
But, having said that, I'm gonna start a new thread about this idea. Because its something I've considered before
