It's definitely interesting to watch.
It seems to be when going into 3, the guy in front has quite a decision to make....keep inside and risk losng it in the marbles, or stick to the "old" inner groove because you stick better, and hope the guy behind you can hang onto it when he tries to dive bomb under you.
Too early to say, although its certainly entertaining.
And...maybe it also helps lessen the blow for all those long time turn 1 stalwarts that just got evicted for smoking. (Not likely, but it's a good spin to put on it.)
Currently 3-4 is where the "good stuff" happens.
