The other not with the transponders is it was asked if you could just supply your own?  The answer was that you could but included in the 200 or 25 whatever you use if the transponder quit or broke or fell off that would be the race tracks problem where as if your own did any of the above it would be your problem.  The timing loop is already in the track it's just  the computer, chargers and transponders that need to be purchased but they want to explore all avenues as far a pricing and how many they would need.  I love when I go to a track with transponders it sure makes my life easier when I'm busy wrenching.

well they posted the payout proposal on the web if you take a look at it and remember how many car are in the classes i think it better to stay with the old payout and get you points fund money at the end of the year they should put that up on the web to so you can see what your running for just my two cent

Didn't they say in the meeting that the points fund wasn't set in stone yet, or did I hear that wrong.

What I'm curious about are the opinions of the racers on this board who run Delaware on a part-time basis. Is this new plan going to entice you out more, or not?

Yeah they did say that that pay method wasn't set in stone.  I haven't gone in to do the math to see just how it works but  we all know that the points fund was never huge so if you were worried about the points it wasn't about the money to start with.  If it ever was about the money then no one would scramble to build a motor to come back or reclip a car to come back to the points based on money spent vs point money gained.

From what I was told ( second hand) is that the point fund of previous years is gone but ther would be a smaller fund made up of fines and contigancy money? I have just read the rules and the track has the option of lowering the purse based on car count, if that count is lower than 15.
