I believe the rough track comment was made by 3rd place finisher Mike Lichty who they interviewed first. And two weeks ago in the lm feature, I saw the 02 get unsettled by the dip and bobbled into the 10 who was running about 2" next to him, although I'm sure car 52 still doesn't believe that.

I talked to one of my friends that works for the company that did the recap on the track and he said the problem is with drainage issues under the pavement making the base soft. This usually requires digging up what's there and correcting the drainage issues, repacking and rebuilding the roadbed then put down the new black stuff. Not an easy or cheep job that is for sure.

I think the wall has fallen down twice this year right there at the "dip" due to excessive rain. I'm sure they will fix it when the do the repave or whatever they have planned. Concrete with more banking would sure make the place unique. A mini dover lets call it.

OUCH!  That's the engine!

You can imagine that oil pan almost being ripped apart after seeing that.

I have to say,as someone who goes to Delaware maybe twice a year, the renovations and improvements they management has made has been noticeable.I hope the surface is redone in the off-season.I,unfortunately,get the feeling Cayuga won't be hosting the ISMA cars any time soon,so Delaware is my only hope.
