with regards to the situation with the #77 on friday, does this mean that if I`m winning the feature but get past on the last lap,I should stop the car on the track to cause a caution so that they go back to the last completed lapped which I was the leader which would make me the winner?! everyone that has been around racing for any amount of years knows you have to be on the track to take the checker flag!!! matt and darrell lake it is not your fault, but track managment needs to make better calls and more consistent calls before the can of worms get open!!!!

Well we were at the beach and the same thing happened only the winner was being towed by truck and won!!! Same rule last completed lap is the official lap.  😮 Good or Bad we all live and die by the same rules. What gets you one day may help you the next! ;D

You are close to being right there JWO. Except....

To clearup a few misconceptions.

1) Anything over the radios are by definition, information only. All signals come from the flag stand and it's use of the corner lights.
2) By the rule book, under a yellow flag, all cars must either hold position (or enter the pits) until a green flag, red flag or checkered flag is displayed. If cars staying on the track under yellow fall out of place, pass or don't abide by the yellow, will be black flagged or could be place to the rear.
2)A checkered flag will end every race, the number of laps may be changed and finshing positions set by the head scorer.
3) Under Race Procedures
a) accident cars will be determined by the head scorer and those cars will start in the rear.
b)reguardless of laps covered the above rule always applies unless all the laps advertise are not able to be completed, then the finish and payout will be based on positions they would have held on a restart.

These rules all help the Head Scorer score the finishing place of cars on the track, in the pits, involved in accidents and under blackflag penalty no matter if the last lap was green or the scoring went back to the last lap.

Unfortunately, the SS race on friday involved every one of the above items in it's finishing order. I can only imagine the chaos the insuded trying to figure it out.

does the transponders that the racers have to pay for count the caution laps also? so if the checker flag was waved under caution and your transponder didn`t pass the start finish line you should be scored at the rear of the lead lap!!

Yes, I can't imagine it doesn't. It counted other yellow laps. Although I beleive, if I read the AMB site right, It's just a simple click to get back to a particular lap then adjust for the Scorers decisions.
