Am I the only person who watched that race? It was intense, and great! Thanks to all the competitors, and people who built cars, and was a part od the show. That is the first time in a while I have heard a crowd go bonkers literally the entire run. It was hard to know where to watch, because there was action everywhere. Good job racers.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
The Bonestocks were the best and most exciting race of the weekend. The Bonestocks may just be the saving grace we've been looking for!
I'll see you on the track Friday July 5th!
It sure was a lot of fun from where I was sitting. Obviously not the fastest cars I have driven, but still an absolute blast dodging and weaving through the traffic. My only criticism would be leaving the disabled cars on the track. Is this necessary? I realize this is a throw back to the old enduro days, but are these cars safe enough to pile head on into a parked car?? I saw 130 on my speedo, yes the speedo worked.... Im not sure I would want to hit a stopped vehicle going that speed in one of those. Would it not help keep the car count up if they were removed from the speedway, possibly to be used in another event or are they that disposable that folks will just build another if it gets destroyed?? At any rate hats off to Delaware Speedway for sticking with this program and putting together the High School Challenge. Possibly the most proactive thing the speedway has done in some time to help the future of the sport.
From a spectator point of view seeing the cars smashed all to crap on the track was awesome and i know that's what all the buzz will be about, but from a car owner point of view it's not fun seeing your car out there like a sitting duck getting the s#*t smashed out of it.I know that's the rules, it lies where it dies, but not everybody can afford to keep building cars.Just think if those 3 cars that got smashed(2 on back stretch and 1 in turn three) don't come back now you're down at least three cars,so you need at least three cars to replace them to get the same car count next race. It's gonna make it harder to get the big car counts if those cars don't get rebuilt .so basically for every car that get's destroyed you need 2 new entries to keep the counts improving.Maybe there is another solution to keep it as entertaining without losing all the cars.
