petesnova your the kind of guy that blames everybody else, good call, probably the tracks fault just like everything else, its the choice of the competitor to go on the track, not yours. Insurance companys have never cancelled anybody like you say, i guess thats why people like you come on here on your second post and make stuff up.Bring facts to the table not made up crap that hurts racing.

Petesnova has some valid points so lets not jump on him gang. KOTH and enduro type racing is one step away from voiding many track's insurance policys and even though wavers are signed, they aren't worth the paper they're printed on. All it takes is one litigenous lawyer and a track could be shut down completely.
I spend the majority of my racing at dirt tracks and the one nasty trend I see is the resurgence of enduro racing. When enduros started 20 years ago or so, they were heavily fortified street stock type cars, designed to go 200 laps 4 or 5 times a year, and the car should last a few years. Now enduros are demo derbys going in circles with everything from small civics to rust bucket cavaliers to full size buicks running together. The crap left on the track for the next week's racing is bad news. Drivers are allowed from regular divisions (e.g. dirt sportsmen) to run against rank amateurs. The majority of cars go direct to a scrap yard. I'm really afraid that these classes along with the under prepared "for fun" classes could lead to serious injury. And lets face it, with king of the hill, most of the fans are just there to see someone crash out his wife's grocery getter.
It's too bad this board seems to have degenerated into a pissing contest between Barrie and Sunset fans.

I think the topic of this thread is use of helmets for King of the hill, I know at Barrie you aren't allowed to run in it if you don't have a helmet on.

Yes it is a great rule to require helmets. Kind of a no brainer. At Delaware it is now mandatory. Word was slow to get out on the first KOTH. I'm sure it will be no problem for this weekends KOTH and beyond.
The first KOTH I loaned out some helmets, to help those that where not aware of the rule change.
That won't be happening again as I lost two of my helmets in that deal. (Thanks guys)
Pass the word on of the requirement and see you all this weekend.

I'm not quite sure what horse you rode in on but I'm one guy that will tell it like it is . You have obvious close connections with the track in mention to the north or you wouldn't be crying in your corn flakes . Point being made is a safety issue .  So don't take it personal , we know you enjoy KOTH , but do you seriously care that a car not prepared properly ( re see : SAFETY posting )  . What hurts racing Moron is people that don't solve issues before more serious crashes take their toll . I do believe the enjoy golf statement does suit your requirements .
