Notice on Delaware web site states that there will be a NCTS Test Day Saturday May 2 /09 .Testing 2:00-5:00 PM Open to public with free addmission. This will give the racefans to see what the NCTS series has to offer this year plus gives the race teams a chance to see how they will do seeing that they are at Delaware JUNE 6TH
Made a stop out at Delaware to see what cars made it for test session today and when I was there I noticed 11 cars they were
02 Kerry Micks,12 John Gaunt,19 Brad Graham,22 Scott Steckley,39 Dave Whitlock,4 Don Thompson Jr.,84 JR Fitzpatrick,9 Mark Dilley,95 Anthony Simone.and two cars #81 & 40 had no names also noticed DJ Kennington trailer there but did not see Kennington car there whether the 81 or 40 are from his trailer I am not sure. Also another thing hopefully means nothing but 4 out of the 11 cars had no sponsors on them they were 12 Gaunt,19 Graham,84 Fitzpatrick,81 no name.Cars that ran fast were Steckley,Whitlock,Thompson & Fitzpatrick sorry did not have stop watch but if somebody else was there that had a watch could tell us times.Overall it will be interesting how the race unfolds back at the track where it all started (Delaware)
I was there too and posted some pics in the NCaTS section. Kennigton was there. He seemed to be hiding out in his trailer. The 17 car only came out twice in the first half. The track anouncer came on just as I was leaving and the times were from the low to high 19's. about what you would expect.
Nice! Thanks for the report. Im sorry I missed it, but its a positive thing that so many came out. You know that's going to be a good show.
I wouldn't read too much into no sponsors on the sides of the cars. If you notice, most of them aren't fully decaled for contincency stickers either. Just means the liveries aren't race ready.
Yes Steckly fastest, DJ second,Micks I think then JR 4th fastest I hope a lot more cars are in the mix I'm thinking only 18 to 20 cars This year OUCH I thought more would of showed up. Is this a sign of things to come. Maybe not good. Does anybody know how many cars a registered for NCTS? Good practice anyhow Nice to hear and nice too smell MMMmmmmmm
