Outside looking in here as I only see things from the bleachers but this is my take. The trucks are now full race vehicles pretty much SS quality from where I sit anyways, which IMO is a good thing, but with the better vehicles and drivers comes closer competition. With closer competition comes closer racing and racers trying anything to make passes since they become more difficult. In these short races you only have so much time to make the pass. The fast way around the track is of course the inside. This is true at most tracks but Delaware seems to be difficult to set your vehicle up to be fast one lane up which may also compound the problem being discussed here. I don't have any solutions except maybe reconfiguring the turns to progressive banking which I think Delaware would be very suited to. This is not just an issue with trucks but all the classes. It may just be easier to setup SS and LM to run fast one lane up? I don't really know but I'd like to hear what others think.

It's tried weekly tbh, but the overall grip is just not there.
A fast car setup perfect for the outside is still too slow to overtake a fast car set up poorly on the bottom.

mirrors are just another tool that the driver can use, its the DRIVER that makes the decision on which way to use it.

when you race with the same people long enough, you know who will block, and who won't. So basically what I'm trying to say is s a driver who blocks, will block wether they have mirrors or not

I appreciate everybody's input and respect your opinions. The only reason I brought it up, was that it really seemed to clean up the racing in Sauble's "entry level" Divisions. This in no way has anything to do with our wreck on friday. That was just wrong place at the wrong time, and purely a racing deal. Dougy, you have a point too. It can be over policed if that makes sense. Its the senseless destruction that I am after.

That's the thing, get rid of your bad apples. Make them pay for driving like a jerk. No three strikes, or coming over asking why he just caused a boatload of damage to some guys' ride. I think you and I are in full agreement, that dirty pool is the issue. Believe me, I am not angry, nor looking at this subject any different than you. What infuriates me was when i confirmed what shadow has lamented over the "nosing in". I basically got told if you nose in even to the door you get black flagged. that is absolutely R E T A R D E D! ! What happens is now you have guys chopping in (harshly closing the door), or driving rough to get past each other. If you guys whined about passing, because your rides were slower, this is now the end result. Complain until the management needs to make a major decision, that now wrecks the essence of the "gentlemens rules". There is an actual book of these in NASCAR, go buy em guys, seriously. Cripes I own one around here somewhere.

The NHL listened to the Americans, and made the sport faster. This idea was made to get more of them to watch the sport. It didn't work and now we have many hard hits, and people hurt. Worst part is, the ratings didn't go up for them at all.

At the end of the day I think it's safe to say we wouldn't be having this discussion is there was more than one useable groove around the track. 

The Delaware track surface has been in poor shape for years...fix the track and you likely fix a lot of these other problems.
