Edited my above post where I went on a bit of rant about spotters and such. Doesn't really have much to do with the truck race however. Guess I just hate to hear that there might be some unable to return because things got a little nutz.

JWO is right though. The style of racing fit when everything was new and the trucks were one-step removed from enduro cars. Now maybe not so much.

I say leave the mirrors in. I would think number of drivers who use their mirrors to block the truck behind is low and I assume the other drivers know who the drivers who will chop them off in the corners. It up the the drivers not to put themselves into a situation that could put them out of the race or at least out of contention. Let the track officials deal with those who are driving with their mirrors.

Leave the mirrors alone or you'll be reading about more trucks being written off in the future.

I understand curbing the guys for shoving the nose in, but I feel it is the same problem that the NHL now has. Remember when guys were allowed to bearhug in the corners to hold a guy up? Now, there's guy getting massive penalties, for boarding and head shots. But the guys aren't allowed to hold each other up anymore.... so now we have star athletes wearing helmets to go potty after injuries.

The point of this? Simple, police yourselves and monitor it. If some driver chops into your ride if you are halfway up, HE gets black-flagged. I cannot believe this is an issue on short track. Cripes, maybe it is just me but I find this absolutely silly. Oval racing is about getting the nose in, and making the pass. If you can't get past his door, back the H-E-double hockey sticks out. Almost all of you guys have raced for years, and are excellent drivers. Why is this an issue?? If it's about car count, so help me god trucks are in great shape. Just race each other nicely (proper)???

Just my 2 cents.

I appreciate everybody's input and respect your opinions. The only reason I brought it up, was that it really seemed to clean up the racing in Sauble's "entry level" Divisions. This in no way has anything to do with our wreck on friday. That was just wrong place at the wrong time, and purely a racing deal. Dougy, you have a point too. It can be over policed if that makes sense. Its the senseless destruction that I am after.
