Trev is calling me "The Welsher" because I didnt streak the front stretch for finishing. He is right, but I had R-Rated Hanes on, and couldn't. I promise I will next one. I will say,my engine is pooched, my struts are gone, and the brakes are toasted. We will be ready for the 22nd.

BTW, there was a missed emoticon in that statement. There was supposed to be a smiley, indicating that it was just a razz and nothing more.
I don't know that I really needed to see that bet fulfilled anyway. 😉
Great show from the Sharks With Lazer Beams race team. Congrats guys.
My wife and I caught the last 80 laps of the feature, and must say, that for the first in a long time, we were both really excited about the enduro. Despite the lower car count, having the top 5 on the same lap led to some amazing racing and a show of talent, while battling each other AND working through heavy traffic. Great race, congrats to DeMelo, and good to see a new mix in the top 5. Of course, this is just my opinion. I feel sorry for the fans that didn't show up due to pending weather, because you missed a great show!
Some freeze frames from the Checkered Flag Media Camera have been posted: http://www.checkeredflagmedia.com/gallery/main.php
Here's Dougy showing Barry Newman the way. 😀

Agreed, it was an excellent race. But I'm curious if it was because of these two factors:
A - some big names (Goertz, Coward) didn't show up, and
B- the ones who did show that traditionally run well, broke down early and left it a little more wide open than usual.
I'm also curious about the no-shows. Did they all have a wedding or something to go to, or is this a commentary on their feelings towards the proposed break-out rule? (which, as I understand, is simply an idea that has not actually been used yet.)
Or was it something completely different?
Any thoughts?
