Competitors are getting in gear to make up for lost time with the Rain Date Weekend events scheduled for this coming Friday and Saturday at Delaware Speedway. Friday night’s competition will feature the FT Garage Late Models, Coca-Cola Super Stocks, and Trucks at 7:30 pm. Action continues on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm with the GAW Recycling Enduro & Bone Stock Chaos Cars.
===FT Garage Late Models===
Matt Pritiko (#21) of London is at the top of his game fresh from a victory in the Great Canadian Race: The Keystone Light 200. Pritiko, however, needs to make up for lost time if he’s going to be able to mount a challenge on Jamie Cox (#22) of Dorchester who leads by 29 points in the overall championship standings. Pritiko faces a tough leader: Cox is a nine-time Open-Wheel Modified Champion at the speedway and his team demonstrated their perseverance at the Great Canadian Race when they replaced a radiator in the final laps of the event to get back in the action after an earlier crash. Cox has never won the Late Model Championship.

===COCA-COLA SUPER STOCKS===
Defending champion Jeff Showler (#44) of Mt. Elgin overcame all challengers last week and now enjoys a 41 point lead on the rest of the pack. He faced off against a new on-track rival as Darrell Lake (#77) of London sought retribution on the track for an earlier incident. Remaining drivers are locked into a fierce points battle with only three points separating second through fifth. Also take note of rookie driver Branden Verhoeven (#7) of Kerwood breaking into the top-3 of the Power Rankings. He and Shae Gemmell (#3) of Dorchester are locked in a tight rookie of the year battle.

===Demar Aggregates Trucks===
Gary Adriaensen (#55) is still the King of the Trucks but Brady Smith (#39) of Coldstream has been making up significant ground In recent weeks. Smith’s recent successes are shown in the Power Rankings where his three-week performance has outpaced the King. Adriaensen also had an on-track defeat last week to Devon Bloemendal (#01) of Delaware who is running a part time schedule. It is worth noting, however, that Bloemendal did not escape tech inspection unscathed taking a fine for an unapproved Carb spacer on the truck.

Derek McCullough (#38) of Glencoe sits on top of the standings set to pick up from his brother’s David’s championship victory last season. Barry Watson (#45) of West Lorne and Steve Book (#64) of Brantford are well placed to challenge him sitting within ten points of the leader. This works out to ten positions on the track under the Enduro points system which can be made up during heat or feature race competition.

===Bone Stock Chaos Cars===
It is tough to track stats in a series like the Bone Stock Chaos Cars but when you do you find very competitive group of competitors. Kyle Neumeister (#92) of Stratford has been seemingly unstoppable so far this season and carries a strong lead over the other challengers. Victory has come at a cost, however. By some accounts Neumeister has gone through three vehicles this season burning through equipment chasing the championship. It’s lucky for him that the vehicles are so cheap!
