It truly is a small world. I actually knew Mike on a casual basis through his place of work and had spoken with him quite a few times over the years. I didn't make the connection until this morning when one of my drivers told me about the sad news of his passing not realizing his relation to you.
We always exchanged pleasantries and usually cracked a joke or two, he always treated me with respect but was quick with a good comeback if I razzed him.
I am truly sorry for your loss and I hope you can take some comfort in knowing he was good guy.
sorry for your loss from our family
I'm going to once again thank everyone for their well wishes posted here, in PMs and by email. I surely do appreciate it more than any of you realize, and its been great to have the support of my online community.
However, the thread has had its time. Its only vaguely related to Delaware racing, and only in that I was looking for a photo from the other weekend.
Again, my heart wishes everyone thanks, but its time to go back to talking racing.
If anyone wishes to continue a converstion thru PM, I'm certainly up for it.
I am grateful to you all.
Trev
PS the obituary is HERE (its Mike Daigle)
