Hi guys. Simple question, what tire width are the LMs running?

When are promoters and the Tech crews going to realize that a 7" tire on Thunders and an 8" tire on a LM are way to thin for the speeds and weight we are running. I can hear it now! money, money and more money!!!!

I, for one, tend to think that the 10" tire is too much for a late model. We've been using them since we started running late models at Flamboro 7 or 8 years ago. I think with the 10" there is way too much room for error, because you've got all that grip to save you if you bobble a bit, or if your setup is just a bit off. Personally, I think a switch to an 8" tire at Flamboro in particular would create more side by side racing. If you were on 2 less inches of rubber, you would definately know it when your set up was off, or if you missed the corner, and there would probably be more passing. And as one final point, I think my opinion on this whole tire situation was solidified when I watched the ACT race this summer at Kawartha...8" Goodyears, and side by side racing throughout the field for 250 laps...JMO
