At least we got the full show at Delaware, Berlin was a disaster. Out of a card of sprints/midgets/vintage mods and Isma we got sprint time trials, midget time trials, vintage heats, midget heats, half a vintage feature and half an Isma feature. Sprints are pissed they only got paid a couple hundred for tow money for the night.
Well, wonder which race was the better deal. 😉
If I had only had the foresight to go to Sandusky for sunday.
Unoffical title goes to Barry Newman. Unoffical final points can be found on the speedway website: http://www.delawarespeedway.com/points.php
heh...so what does it take exactly to make it official?
Does someone need to bang a gavel or something?
(this is me speaking unofficially, of course) 😛
Here are my photos from the ISMA Super Modified events. Some of the "night" photos were taken by a friend (credit where credit is due!) 😉
Fun night. I'd only ever seen a super modified two or three time, all times when Mark Sammut demonstrated before a friday race. They are a very fun racing machine! 😀

You've got that right...it was them that put Delaware on the map way back when. (way before my time!)
You know what's kind of neat though...I was flipping through a couple old programs from the supermodified days here and the closer I look at the pics, the more I realize that Supers, as a whole, haven't changed much in thirty years. I'm sure the materials used to build them are quite different, but aside from the wings, they look almost the same. I wonder how the speeds compare.
I also think its kind of cool/interesting that of all the drivers that have come through this place in 55 years, Harvey Lennox in the Tammy 10 is still the guy everyone remembers.
Great pix!
