We won't be there unfortunately. After my wreck there June 29 and the wreck in the Gold Rush I ran out of money. Just one of those years. I am going to fix it for Flamboro Octoberfest and then park it for the year. ( hopefully not wrecked again ) lol brutal year.
Didn't Powell run a chev? Does that mean there could be chev crates? If so how many are actually at Delaware.... Hmmmmmm
Seems to me like those big bad fords aren't the only problem here. Also as the rules state if your motor was asa it weighs asa. Roblee detuned his still weighs at asa weights.
Yes Cole runs a Chev. Maybe you could explain what the problem is ??
my issue is everyone picking on the fords for being ASA, which I have no problem with. I like Cole he's a good driver and person, but my point is for the rest of the field. There are only a few tell tale parts from an ASA chev to crate Chev... Its possible that these parts have been changed and immediately the motor is not visible to be what it really is

Your are correct about the Ford. The fact is Ford is the best motor out there and nothing will touch it heads up other then another ford. Ya the Dodge will catch it but nobody has one so let’s forget that talk. So this thing goes back and forth forever on how and what is fair to handicap the two motors. The stop watch works. If a car is killing the field is the driver that good and set up or is it the motor .
So handicap the cars and watch with a break out rule of two maybe three tenths. You break out your caught, so this gets guys working to have their motor legal without tech driving them crazy and rules changing in weight one minute from the next. Say the rules is 19.1 and you click off a 18.8 you got a problem. So now you got everybody trying to be consistent in the 18.9 to 19.1 range. The best part is we would be done talking and complaining about motors. So this motor thing is just going to go on forever and the sportsmanship is going to get worse unless somebody starts thinking outside the box for a real solution and it is not everybody go buy the same motor because that will never work guess why. Just an idea because we are really tired of hearing the same circular technical B.S on this issue. The fact is if you got a bunch of cars within 2 tenth of each other you got one hell of a race and the racers will stop thinking the other guy has him beat by motor.

Why?

Because as long as there are people in the motor rebuilding performance business you will never stop improved performance gains legal or not. So let them do it and forget trying to catch it. It’s a losing battle. In a perfect world maybe you could have everybody honest enough to not try to improve their motor but this is racing and you must know the story by now. This motor thing is everywhere with the same results. The crate motor has been a problem in one hand but great in another. The price is the plus and the rest is history so change it . We are losing people in this sport because of this and they are good hard working family’s that just want to race and have a fair shot at a win. Anyway breakout rule or not, something needs to change.
P.S I don’t have anything against motor rebuilders. Let’s just say it’s all the moneys fault. LOL
So if I understand you correctly R H you want oval bracket racing? As a fan I hate bracket racing but I can see some merit on the tech side. But if guys gain the 3/10 with setup and driving line how and why should you penalize that? Besides we are talking about a 1/2 mile track. You can have all the HP you want but if it won't turn it won't do you any good. Maybe the track should invest in a dyno. Check all the cars before the race and the top three after. That way guys can spend all they want on their motors but if they are limited to 425 or 450 hp and a given torque RPM number at the rear wheels then motor tech isn't needed. I know guys could do tricks while on the dyno but when you shut one door to a race team they will sneak in a basement window. Always been that way always will.
