For any JLM drivers looking to get a little extra seat time, this weekend June 12th Sauble Speedway is having their first of two Invitational events for the Junior Late Model division.

Visiting teams do NOT have to buy a membership to race the invitationals.....just come, run....and have fun!!!

Payouts back to 24th.

Run your Delaware setup and just change your back sprocket to a 63 or 64 tooth. (call Bicknell Racing Products, Rob Nethercott or these are available at the speedway if needed).
The JLM #83 at Delaware does this and runs excellent @ Sauble.

Any Delaware cars who happen to have the Aluminum intake sold by Keith Marshman, you can use it.

Sauble Speedway Tire rule is M32 tires only.

Complete parts and tire supply at the speedway. (both Rob Nethercott and Rob James will be on hand to help you with your needs)

One way radio's are used at Sauble.

Any questions please contact Sauble Speedway.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Hi Dave, thanks for the note. Its great to hear from you....hope your doing well.

We're having lots of fun with the JLM cars. This is our 4th year running, Grand Bend for the first 3 years, this year we are at Sauble for a shorter 10 race schedule so we can have some family time this summer. Delaware also runs a JLM program for 13 or 14 weeks on Wednesday nights.

Delaware currently runs what is probably the best overall program right now. They have 2 separate Junior and Senior classes separated by age 8-12 and 13-17. They also do actual "schooling" at the end of the race nights so the kids are actually learning the lingo like "stagger", "wedge", "caster" as well as the meanings.

All 3 tracks are different, Delaware runs off corner 2, 1/2 down the back straight hard left 180 degrees comes around the tech building back towards corner 1 with a slight right hand corner then a hard left onto pit road in the end of #1 then back around to the back straightaway.

Grand Bend is a 1/4 mile tri-oval like a mini Charlotte. Corners have banking probably the same as Barrie. Grand Bend has 7 classes of 1/2 scale racing almost every Saturday night and the racing is great to watch. There is a lot of talent there who will come to the big car ranks in 5 - 7 years. Everyone should take a visit to GBS atleast once a year....best nights are to see the Can Am Midget shows especially when the Mini Trucks run.

Sauble...had let the JLM class go a number of years ago and over late last season had much local interest of restarting the class. Getting the numbers they were looking for, they made a 10 race schedule for this 1st season back to see how things would go. The racing so far has been very good. There are some 1st year drivers who have been great suprises.

All 3 venues offer unique challenges to all drivers in the JLM divisions in Ontario. All the rules with the exception of 2 are exactly the same. A harder tire is allowed at GBS and Delaware that is not currently used at Sauble....only for cost reasons. Also there is an aftermarket intake manifold that can be run at GBS and Sauble that is not allowed at Delaware. aside from that the cars all run the same weight rules, and so on.

I am hoping to get our cars to Sunset next week to test and see how they handle. There is concern the track could be too fast for them but I think they will be ok. If Mark gives a thumbs up, I am going to see if he and I can schedule a September Invitational.

The JLM class is truly a great way to get kids started in racing. The cars are built strong, fast and safe.

If the track at Sunset is too big and fast for your cars the backstretch and pit lane look like they would be perfect for these cars.
