I think the event was really great and Delaware did a great job preparing and hosting it.  It might have been more interesting if there had been an inversion and we actually got to see the top runners race for position.  Other than that there was lots of racing and a good show for the fans.

Oh yes...there certainly were a few "points to grow on" and that was definitely one of them. Busch, in 2 races, only had to pass one car total all night. Its a minor beef....I just want to point that out firstly.

In thinking about it later: Say what you want about them, but I hope guys like Vanderwyst, B. Watson, McWhirter, Urlin and Powell got a few extra bucks in their pay envelopes at the end of the night, because it was their little sideshows that made the races exciting. If not for their on-track shenanigans, it would likely have been a mediocre show at best. Even if it is Kyle Busch, watching him run away from DJ and the rest of the feild without breaking much of a sweat would have been dull. Heck, they never even went green flag long enough to catch lap traffic.

That would have been disappointing, and a lot of the headway we might have taken with new fans out that night would have been lost. So as awesome as thh show turned out to be, I think the track owes a good bit bit of thanks to those above-mentioned.

But from the other side if you invert you may end up with what happened in the second 50 lapper at the Maple City Tire 100 and we could of had Busch, DJ, etc wrecked on the first lap. That would not be a good thing either. I think the format was fine and the rear markers crash enough to close up the field. I am not a huge fan of inversion since I think if you are fast you deserve to be rewarded for that but I can also see the other side. If you added a few more cars to the field then the leaders would have to go through traffic sooner which would make things interesting. If Robblee was able to drive then you would of had four cars up there battling for the lead. If it was a 75 lap race then DJ would have caught Busch again. If Watson didn't break then he was moving up. If the track had progressive banking then the second groove would come in. If, if, if, if..........
Maybe the heats should be inverted and make them elimination races where if you get passed you are out?

Yep it was an awesome night good run for the 83 streamline car.... Would like to give a shout out to Andy Kamrath #83 what an amazing night for his first Late model race and at a new track finishing 17th.. we just didn't have enough motor only running the 602 crate.
