He has one broken rib and as of today ( Sunday ) they say he'll be fine and is being kept for observation.

Speaking of Berlin Speedway. Johnny and I were laughing  a few years back, about something that happened there in 1990, during a ASA race. Mike Eddy spun out Bob Senneker, coming off 4 with 10 laps to go. Eddy won the race and after while he was celebrating at the start/finish line, the fans went crazy. They were throwing ice from their coolers, which from the pits, looked like diamonds in the lights. The police on horses surrounded Eddy. Some guy comes out of the stands yelling at Eddy, a cop on a horses went between them. This guy pulls back his arm and punches the horse in the head. Right out of Blazing Saddles. The horse shook it's head and the cops jump on the guy and hauled him away. I'm sure he received his just rewards for assaulting a police officer (the horse).
  Just thought I'd share that with you. Johnny is a super guy and I'm glad he'll be ok. I can't believe he doesn't have a sponsor for the truck series.

Seems like the news reports of the fire were somewhat exaggerated...who ever would have thought clueless news reporters would do that?  ::)

Sounds like Johnny will be just fine, laid up a while but fine. Typical racer, worried about the car. Johnny B is a class act. 110%
