That sucks. They haven't stated the nature of his injuries, but putting 2 and 2 together, it looks like he may have gotten burned. 🙁
Sounds like he's gonna be OK, and I hope it doesn't keep him out of the saddle for too long.

One of those articles allowed for comments, and one poster who'd been there said that once he was out of the car and on the stretcher, he was fully conscious and looked more worried about the race car. I'd say thats a good sign.
