Shadowracer - Re no bad wrecks - what about Thompson being wrecked by Hooker. Looked like he needed a new clip to me. He was a no show for Sauble two days later.

Yeah alright. That one was pretty bad. Sorry.

I guess what I meant was there was no 10 car stackups like there'd been the week before. Quite a few people were expecting more of that.

Actually, Thompson hit the wall right in front of where we were sitting, but I couldn't tell what had caused it.

I also heard that Thompson has been on the giving end of lots of those. Perhaps something that had gone around, came around?

Jesse Kennedy fan here. I don't know how long exactly he's been racing, but lets just say Super Late Model was a regular Friday night division when he started...so around 25 years or so. I beleive this year, him and Doug Stewart might be up for the "elder statesmen of Delaware" title.

Jesse has been one of those competitiors that, over the years, has bounced back and forth between divisions, and never really kept the same number. First one I remember was Street Stock #96, and it said "Jesse 'the Body' " on the back deck lid.

This is, bar none, the best season Jesse has had at Delaware. His biggest win ever IMO was stolen from him with a lap to go by Bill Rowse Jr. at a CASCAR race at Del in the mid 90s. (He drove a black #23 with purple trim at the time.)  Rowse spun Jesse outright, then Micks went on to win, if I recall correctly. That was the ugliest the Delaware crowd has been since.

I'm pretty sure Jared is spot on that this has been Jesse's finest and biggest win.
