I have been reading posts about this subject and I say if the driver wants to file a charge about the Charter after the win go right ahead but you better have the coin to pay because it will cost lots of dollars just to get to court let alone it would take a long time to settle. So for the measley dollars you are complaining about it is not even worth it.To the person who started this subject sit back and relax racing season is just around the corner.

The track is offering prize money for an event to which the contestants must pay to enter . The track is then paying out the prize money based on gender and thats where their dead in the water. imo

The track is paying out the purse money with one bonus based on gender to contestants who agreed to the conditions of the event when they signed in. It's not as if conditions are changing as the race goes on to where something would occur. It's also not as if male competitiors are denied money they would have ordinarily received.

Section 15 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms specifically addresses equality right and states that every individual is equal before and under the law, enjoys equal protection and benefit of the law, without discrimination, including discrimination based on sex.

There is no violation here. This is referring to discrimination in the legal system i.e. when you are under arrest or in court you have equal rights regardless of gender. If I am in business then I can give my money to whom ever I please. Thank God for the freedoms that we all enjoy in Canada!

This is silly. What is the tracks take on this? Are they getting people complaining to them that this is not right.

I think it was a great marketing tactic from the track, look at all the exposure it getting on here.

Why don't people complain when Cayuga paid Nascar Drivers money to race here and that was before they even raced?? I think that should be a slap in the face to drivers here as they don't get paid just to race here. They get prize money based on the finishes they have. No one seemed to mind then that Cayuga was paying these drivers a lot of cash to show up.

the charter is for people not companies, it with the bna act is our constitution

How about this... if you don't want to race, you just want to (expletive) and complain all day, don't race at Delaware. Otherwise, deal with it.

God let racing start soon, this has gone on WAY too long.
