Did I tell you hill what to think no. So just because the the petty's have a big history in racing doesn't make him right. If he feels women should be in racing then he can but the times have changed and the mens club days are over with. Women have as much right to race as men do.
Why is it a big deal if they get a few more bucks if they win. I think it was a great idea and it might bring more women to the races and get more women involved and I bet it was all planned that way. You make no sence Hill have I died for it? that has nothing to do with it.
Maybe if you had a daughter that enjoys racing being told she can't race as she is a female and racing is a mens only sport, you might understand where I'm coming from.
evan what the heck is wrong with you. first of all unfurnishedapartment called out racerfan44 not you, go back and read the postings. secondly do not dare and tell us what to think, pc had the right to believe and say what he wants even if most disagree.what i dont get is the delaware thread started out as a post wrt inequality. women in racing fine no problem but i will be damned if i will race against them for less money. equal is equal. lastly i for one would not dis the Petty's, they have built this sport they have bled for it and they have died for it. have you?
so you say women have as much right to race, i agree go check other threads that i defended this view on.the big deal is that they get paid more by the sanctioning body or track because of gender. also i do have a daughter and no one would dare to tell her she cant race.never once have i ever said women should not race thru the whole danica thread i never took that veiw. in your second post my reference was not to the #3,RIP, it was to adam petty kyle's son. perhaps you need to read back more than two post when you wish to blast somebody or dig into some history. ps remember you posted this as evan not cro and made a loud point to tell us that they were two different entities. lastly richard petty can believe and say what he wishes and for him it may be fact not always for others, that is freedom baby.
Hill3 I was commenting on others that posted in this thread.
This is addressed to all that think the bonus is not fair why not comment on the other bonuses in that press release as I posted in a previous post in this thread.
Why should another male get a bonus for finishing worse then another male racer? Why should other drivers not get bonus based on the car manufacture of their car? There is many bonus offered for different reasons? but no one seems to complain about them. Please someone explain why?
Hill3 the second part of the message is not addressed to you, just to be clear.
i spose maybe because every person wanting to race in this event has the option of competing for any of the bonuses, except all male competitors wishing to enter the event, are not entitled, and in no way can compete for the bonus offered only to female competitors. i can easily finish 40th, or worse, if there are 40 or more cars, i can choose to participate in any make i want. but be darned, if after 39 years, i am gonna be able to start thinking of myself as a woman, even if it were possible, and acceptable.
i think all any one was saying was what would happen if you specifically advertised a male only bonus? that, to me, just doesn't seem right. but as was mentioned, a lot of things don't seem right.
but i'm sure now that it was mentioned we will have to pay a bunch of polititions and lawyers to make some law that says we can or cannot do something or nothing as long as something does or does not get done, as long as somebody is allowed to take legal action for all or nothing, for reasonable compensation of one million dollars per word, of what was said about something or nothing, in whole or in part.
jeez boa that scares the living crap out of me that we come close to agreeing.lol still have not gotten my seat yet i think i will seriously have to send a sos to you to mount it damn the cost( well not really but i do expect to pay) thanks.
its no longer a matter of cost, as much as scheduling limitations. at this point, my program has to become far more important than anyone elses! nothing personal, i can give you a list of people who i have turned away in the past few weeks. if it helps, i am considering quitting the active competition side of the sport to focus soley on taking people's money who choose to compete!
"but be darned, if after 39 years, i am gonna be able to start thinking of myself as a woman, even if it were possible, and acceptable." COC Voilation i was just stating my personal preference, and choice, to not become a female at this point in my life.
