Ok im a fan of all racing series at delaware. and there is on thing i don't understand is how the inversion works. i thought the slow cars in the heat started at the front for the heat but i seen on friday ((just an example) truck series) the 01 finished 7th and the 82 finished 8th but they started 01 3rd last and 82 right along side of him  in the feature . yet they were both near the end of the pack in the feature.can someone explain this to me please

I think, but could be wrong that they take the top 6 from the first heat and top 6 from the second heat and they line up at the front for the feature and then the cars that were in not in the top 6 from each heat line up behind them.

So from the first heat - the top 6 get lined up (not sure how they determine the order for lining them up) then the top 6 line up from the 2nd heat.
Then the rest of the first heat line up and then finally the rest of the 2nd heat line up.

Again, I don't know how they determine the line up within these groups, but I think this is the general format for the lineups.  ???

Agreed on that one... I am sure it takes an army of people, calculators, computers, and just plain luck to try and get by week after week...

Im 99% sure on this one.  Here goes:

Top 6 of heat one (finish) to the front of the feature, but set by 3 week avg. plus points position.
Top 8 of heat two (finish) behind them, also set by 3 week avg and points.
Next is the remainder of heat one, than the rest of heat two. At the back is any DNF and DNS, and any rookie with no 3 week avg, or anyone that chooses to go scratch.
