Hey guys, just thought I'd introduce myself, already done so at the GRR board.

My name's John Culbert, Jr., and I'll (hopefully) be racing as a rookie at Delaware in 2009.  I work for Carquest in London.

You guys can read my whole life story on my Starving Racer's page at http://www.starvingracers.com/racer-tigeraid , so I won't bore you with the details here.  Used to race up north at North Bay Speedway, but the track closed and I moved to London for work several years ago.  Finally got my garage in working order, brought the racecar down and we're currently in the process of rebuilding it and upgrading it to Super Stock specs. 

I was crewmember on the #13 car and then the #66 car at North Bay.  We won the 2000 track championship with my dad, John Sr., driving.  I was just getting into driving myself when the whole place kinda fell apart.  :-[  I'll end up having to run #16, my old 4 cylinder number.  66 is pretty special to me but one of our fellow racers already has it, and I guess they get preference.  Oh well.

Trying real hard to make it for the season opener, but I've got very little of my own money to spend on it so it's slow going... Had some luck with sponsors so far, with a couple of big names that wan't to talk to me again in February after they get their book-keeping figured out.

I've only had a handful of races as a driver (before the track closed down), but I've got the bug and plan to go out there and learn a lot this season.  Rookie of the year would be pretty awesome, but if Jake Ott is also in the rookie class I think I'm in trouble.   :-

As for parts I need.... basically everything?  ::) Still hoping one of those possible sponsors comes through in February to help with the crate motor, but I need a lot of little things.  Fuel cell, exhaust, a hood, shocks, springs...
