With the untimely passing of Stan Harborne in 2002, Delaware Speedway created the Harborne Memorial Spirit of Racing Award. Then, with Dave Lawrence's untimely passing in 2006, his name was added to the Award, and it became the Harborne/Lawrence Spirit of Racing Award. I think it is Delaware's most prestigious award.
