That sucks unless its because of major reno. Its bad enough that they don't start till May now. Maybe that's just me though. At Delaware you're SUPPOSED to have to wear a skidoo suit on opening night.

3. Expect all features to be considerably longer in length with the idea of strategy and equipment preservation coming into play

Ok forgive my ignorance....but how long does a feature need to be before strategy and equipment preservation comes into play??? In the 2nd tier divisions, more laps = dullsville.

4. Very little contact between cars will be tolerated. Besides the black flag the possibility of points deduction for body slamming in the corner, dive bombing, blocking, spinning out others etc.

Like the sound of that...except I want to know what the black flag means. Currently you can pretty much murder someone's children and all you get is "sent to the back of the line." I strongly encourage going back to the black flag meaning you're parked if its for dirty or unneccesarily rough driving.

5. Good possibility of new faces in tech. Expect it to be alot stricter, and there will be absolutely nothing changing after the rules are set..

That's a cool idea.

8. Crate engines will not be repaired or rebuilt and still be considered as a crate engine, therefore falling under built rules.

No comment....you guys know better than me whether that's good or not.

9. Enduro cars that run under 24 seconds/lap will require the same forward bars and safety equip. as SS and will be encouraged to race on Friday nights with a seperate purse.

Interesting. Potential for fun....but seperate purse means what exactly?

10. Incentives for visiting cars including the possibility of using headers or 4bbl and seperate purse

Definitely cool.

11. No handicapping average, just straight draw for heats, inversion of previous week's finishing order for next feature

I like the spirit behind this one, however I think the current way of doing heats leads to better racing. Also, does that mean the slowpokes start on the front row every week for the feature? Thats a formula for the occasional disaster.

12. Catching teams who have intentionally modified their crate engine and punishing severely, perhaps in the order of preventing the possibility of finishing in the top 10 for the season

I'd presume you mean tweaking it and then claiming its a stock crate. Doesn't modifying a crate simply give it "built" status?

sure hope the late start doesnt play out. Good way to lose fans and competitors to other venues.  Also, not sure on the extended features. I think they are plenty long enough now. some of the other ides look promising......

YES JIM ...the rule was if you had a repaired crate or opened crate it was considered a built motor and yes 100 pound penalty total of 3300 ,, what is so wrong with that rule.

How about some off the super cheat crates that are out there running 3200 pound that had work done to them!!!!!! and no penalties

@ raceguy....I been thinking it over and discovered I didn't mind the idea of finally getting down to the O for some regular friday action and still not miss anything at Delly. June start sure isn't a dealbreaker....yet I keep thinking that no racing on May 24 weekend might be s strange decision.
