Updated competitor information has been posted to this link: http://www.delawarespeedway.com/great-canadian-race-format-2011.

Of particular note is the additonal tech notes, which will allow for a smooth tech inspection:

1. No engines until after the drivers meeting at approx. 11:15.
2. Draw for qualifying position in tech.
3. Teams to remove spark plugs for pre-tech inspection
              a. All cars will have both the engine displacement and compression ratio checked.
4. Tire rule
a All teams allowed 6 tires for this event. These tires are separate from the regular inventory.
              b. Teams will have to advise the tech team during practice which 6 tires they will declare for their inventory for the day. ( tech team will visit the pits)
              c. Pit area must be cleared of all non-inventoried tires by 12:30, failure to do so will be result in only one lap qualifying.
5. Two tech lines will be open and all cars must pass through all stations prior to being allowed on the track for practice.

We look forward to seeing you on saturday.  If you have any questions contact Ron Sheridan at (519) 652-5068 Ext 203.

All the best,

Well then if it is that annoying do both yourself and the drivers around you a favour and stay home!

i think it is wonderful that all of these checks are taking place to insure a great race for us on the hill.

We appreciate Jamie's tongue & cheek wit. 🙂  The purpose of getting this out is to make sure tech line runs smoothly to help make sure that everyone can be ready for practice and other preparations they need to make before the event.  Based on the pre-roster information I have been reviewing, we should be in for a fun day of racing.
