Well folks, a couple of issues kept me away from the computer when I went home last night, but I'll make it up to y'all with some photos, and the full report later tonight.

Crazy night at Delaware today. The night was sponsored by Exeter Toyota, but you'd figure it was sponsored by Zubicks with all the bent up race cars. What was interesting was that most of the stuff wasn't caused by driver shenanigans (for the most part) It was just the night for lots of hard accdents.

Worst of the night, and worst of the season too IMO was Scott O'Connor's crash during the Demar Truck feature. He was running Derek's 7 truck and running fairly well. Then rounding turn 4 in a big pack, suddenly the 7 truck just banks to the right and crashes full bore and dead on into the turn 4 wall. The front end erupts in flame. They hustle to get Scott out of the truck and they do, but Scott gets the long ride back to the pits in the back of the ambulance. Scott's OK, and a little bit sore, but unfortunately it doesn't sound like the same can be said for the 7 truck.

Funeral arrangements for the truck will be announced soon.

Here's Derek..taking the night off still suffering the effects of a dislocated shoulder.

Heres Derek putting sub driver Scott O'Connor in the truck.

About 4 hours later

And another

Sorry I didnt get any pics of the accident scene. Tried but this little cam is rubbish at a distance under the lights. When the truck hit, I popped out of my seat in turn 1 and ran down to the other end to see what was happening. By the time I got there, they'd hauled Scott out of the truck and he was sitting on the fronstretch being attended to. Took a while to ge tthe mess cleaned up and by that point they'd called the race.

More pics to follow...our race winner, and proof that it truly is NOT  "easy being green."

Thanks for the report. I do apprecitate your sincerity in the situation regarding Scott. Well done. Just unfortunate circumstances.

So down comes the entire SS field down the fronstretch. There's a bobble by someone and both 66-Bloemandal and 60-Ott bank hard left and both crunch the inner frontstretch wall, while Lidster hits the outside...but not nearly as bad. Lidster went on to finish, but both Ott and Bloemendal were out for the night. It remains unseen how permanent the damage is.

The Crash

It aint easy being green. This was taken while the Enduro All Star feature was still underway, hence the haze of smoke

Still Smiling

Bloemendal's ride
