had fun for 15 laps, but decided to save the car for frost fest. Unfortunately we built a car to race, not a tank to survive which brings up an important point about the safety of some of these bone stocks. Some cars would be safer without a roll cage. (wow - seen some pretty scarey looking workmanship). Nothing wrong with as I like to call it exoskeletons like the one on Mr. E-car, but some guys had channel bolted or welded on the sides that could become spears coming through other drivers cars. Delaware definitely needs to have a closer look at safety, not just for the drivers, but the other competitors as well. Can't go wrong with $500 to have McCalls install a proper cage and outside bars.
ps - get rid of the track cars and make it a straight up style enduro so you don't have idiots trying to stuff you in obstacle cars at 50 mph.

It was a good time. I was in the derby good derby but to many cars in the small ring that is was i got told by a few people that were watching. Hope to make it out aging next year with a derby car and/or a bone stock. Thanks Delaware for putting this on for all that were there. Thanks car# 143
We built a race as well and it didn't hold up to the carnage, HOWEVER I didn't spend a fortune on it and it was a good fast car for around $500 bucks worth of stuff and about 100 hours of build time. The car is pretty much a parts car now but in hind sight who cares? it was a blast and we were dam proud to be in the inaugeral Bone Stock 75. Next year it might be in the Open division lol Anybody need some Cavalier parts 🙂
I had to leave before the Bone Stock race unfortunately. So all in all every one enjoyed themselves? With some minor safety improvements this really has potential? Correct? We are seriously considering building one of these for my son, but can't understand why we need obstacle cars out there?? Would this be the number one complaint of the competitors? I said when I heard they were going to have obstacle cars out there... wow, this is going to give the pick pass a new meaning!!! Does anybody have any video of the race?
Well the Toxic Accord is Fairly destroyed. all wheels facing in different Directions, Cage twisted and bent, Floor pushed in . Even the mother of all Bumpers that was on the front of the car got bent. basically a total write off.
Mother Nature Screwed me out of being able to drive the car myself as I had to work last night, and the change in start times prevented me from being able to attend. I Sent the car with another driver who suffered a bashed up shoulder from an intentional Drivers door hit. That's not cool. Sure it's great to have 30 cars out there but there needs to be more than a few who can actually Drive. And I am not really a fan of having the Obstacle cars out there to start the race. That's what the Chaos Division was for. I thought this was supposed to be a chance For the chaos cars to evolve into an Enduro Style race Not Carmageddon ..... (End Of Bitching)
On a positive note It did sound like it would have been a great day to be a spectator. Lots Of action from all the Racing and the Derby. I would have really liked to watch the open Mod 4's .. And Im sure the kids would have loved the Smashing of the pumpkins,
I think I have it in me to build one more Car to race next year . But that will be it, once it's done I think so will be I. I had a lot of fun this year Racing the Chaos Car Series . And would have really enjoyed Driving in the Bonestock. I Did it because i thought it would be fun. and it really has been a Blast. But the fun starts to wane when you start getting angry . And sometimes people in other cars make you angry. I wish people would remember it's Supposed to be a race not a street fight.
