I have to say, What a great day.
In addition to 20 4cyl Open cars and 10+ derby cars, 30 Bonestocks started the race, 2 additional Bonestocks had problem in practice that put them out.
That's 30 + teams that put together one of these cars. Great job.
It was a long day for us, but for me it was one of the best. Not only did I get to work with the regular staff and crew at the track, (best in the business) I worked with a group of volunteers that were there because they really believed in what could be accomplished and genuinely enjoyed being there.
When we had a hiccup in the transponders on the Bonestocks, these guys were crawling around in the water and mud, remounting the units.
When you ask if they'd help out with that and they didn't complain for a moment, you know the event will be a success.
A big thanks to Dougy, Mark and Tyssen for all their help which includes rolling with the bumps.
I know most of the competitors had a great time. Some even reiterated their intent to return to the track while standing beside cars that I'm not sure would roll straight again.
For anyone that has some suggestion now that you've seen the potential, please contact John at the track, and give him your feed back.
Thanks again to everyone for all their hard work.
i personally would like to thank the VOLUNTEER tech officials and john for doing this. i will be calling john with my input.
id say more then 3/4 of those bone stocks never ever should even been run on any track...and guys trying to punt drivers into track cars .....well i cant say what should happen to them delware u can have your bonehead 75 it was a complete JOKE .....TAKE it how u want but it wass just that a joke
Well a couple things I need to add about the Bone Stock. First of all it was a blast and it was allot of fun. Secondly I think there was a couple of minor things I would fix like not having the demo cars in the premium pit locations, painting obstacle cars bright colours, I forgot to get some chilli dammit, that 51 car shuold have been in the "Open class" that car was a weapon. March I think the Joke's on you cause their were an awfyl lot of people who had blast. I think in the next one I will be driving...I hope!! Thank-you John, Doug, Don, and everybody else for a great effort And special thanks t othe big guy in the tow truck for helping us out yet again....I love Delaware bitches
Yesterday was fun until downforce wreaked me and drove into my DRIVER door, but thanks Delaware some people made for a fun night !
