...how would the officials know when to stop the race and get a tow truck to push a car unless a driver gives the thumbs down, does he have to be in a dangerous spot and get lucky to catch a red flag, just wondering, as i am not sure to the awnser..

That's the point, they don't. They never stop the race to push a car unless it's in a dangerous place. You can't ask to get a push. You can only ask to get out of the car. Thumbs down means you want out. Also, it's not up to the officials trackside to make a decision if your car is in a dangerous position or not.
Now you know why cars moving along the front stretch but stuck up against the front wall back them up toward turn 4. The red flag is sure to fly and then you can drive off the wall.

Racer 321

That excludes one driver of the four, and it still does not answer the original question...How does the system work...do you get your points if you pass through tech (that's what qualifies you for points) or do you get your points for taking the green flag? It seems there is no consistency and it's quite frustrating.

WOO HOO...I finally got an answer  ;D
John Houghton got back to me today and Now I get it!!!
Here is his reply

Transmission Direct Enduro points are awarded in both heats and features, 100 points for a heat race winner, 200 points for a feature winner, decreasing by one point for each position down the line.

As was discussed with the drivers this year, in the event that a driver takes the green flag in the heat race but is unable to take the green flag of the feature race, they will be awarded last place points in the feature.  In the case of a Saturday enduro, the initial green flag of the heat race is recognized as the start of that driver’s event.

So in the case of car #11, for example.  He took the green flag in his heat, spun, took damage and did not start the feature.  He is awarded last place points in the line-up for the feature race.

However, had #11 not taken the green flag in the heats, and only passed tech, he would not receive heat or feature race points (never took the green flag).

Thanks for everyone's input, I really appreciate it. Now onto tonight's challenge, Let's go #3 🙂 (I may be partial LOL)

When I went to tech garage to inform them I was broke and couldn't(Shouldn't) run the feature.I was told I had to take the green or not get any feature points.I took the green from pit road and came in turn one and on the trailer. So I risked blowing up and didn't have too?
