I have been to Holland, long drive but there was a guy from ontario running weekly in the Modified class. That track is very steep banked with a great surface not for the faint of heart you need nuts the size of a rr to run there. The TQ midgets barely lift in the corner and run 170 mph into the corner. Once you see the pit area at holland you will never want to leave, concrete pads complete with lighting and hydro.

Holland is 94 miles from my house in Burlington (Lancaster is 82) and by comparison Delaware is 100 miles even, so once the stigma of the border is put aside, they're not that far from folks in the Golden Horshoe. I believe it's Jim Ruddy from Caledonia that runs an SST (sportsman) mod at Holland. Sheri Hogan from Belwood runs an SST mod at Lancaster. Vanderwyst ran his LM at Holland and Lancaster this year at a couple of regular shows, perhaps to get the set up for the Maara races.
Holland is a little Bristol with very steep banks and banked straights. Nascar Tour Mods usually are in the high 13 second range with Busch North (East) in the high 14s-low 15s). Years ago ISMA ran there and Bob Ciconni turned an 11.9 second lap. Althought the speeds mentioned above in the previous post for the TQ midget are a little high, they are scary fast there as they usually don't have to lift.

This is starting to sound pretty good. (of course, we're making up our own news here)

But I mapquested some of those tracks, and quite a few of them are do-able.

From the MAARA website

"The future of MAARA appears bright, with several new tracks ready to join the fold. An 8-10 race schedule is forecast for 2007, along with several increased purse long distance events."
