As for the rest of ya's (Larue and Spin Im looking at you). Everyone's said their piece. If you have anything to add, be my guest. You both have valid points, but if you're just gonna bicker with each other than let it go please.
Mr/Ms. DMCCormick, thanks for coming out to the races. What you experienced friday is not the norm. Please consider coming back out and giving it another try. I cant speak for all the divisions but I know that just about every Superstock team would love to answer your questions, give autographs and even let your son sit in their car. The smell of rubber, fuel , and oil in a heat soaked racecar is one of those good memories you hold onto forever.
If you like, send me a pm and I'll buy you a couple general addmission tickets to give it another try. You could use them any reg night and even save them till the souvenir programs are out and your son could collect autographs after the races.
Again, thanks for coming out and I hope you will again.
It is very simple to see the problem at Delaware, Jeff has lost control, and the track is now being run by the drivers. I have seen this before at other tracks around Ontario and no one wins, it is only going to get worse before it gets better. There has to be a line drawn in the sand for the competitors, by someone with the nuts to stand up for the rules that are in place. This was very evident on Friday.....
Hey DMcCormick, I drive the 7 truck, and we are always happy to see fans, both kids and adults after a race. Its actually one of the better parts of being a driver, when a kid is happy just to have something that you autographed for him/her. We always welcome questions, and also let them sit in the truck for a picture if they like. Dont be a stranger, and don't let a crazy night ruin it for you or anybody else.
"It was pretty shocking; a completely one-sided affair with the race team looking to leave and the official berating the people inside the truck, almost acting like he was hoping for a brawl. I couldn't hear every detail but I did hear the official yell - in so many words - that this team would never set foot inside the speedway again under his watch," I know we are all wondering...... who was the race team that all that happened to?
