There are more ways to make a car or truck fast,I thought delaware went to crate motor so everyone wouldnt have to spend all that money. So if they want to start opening them it cost them more money then they win. I think that team knows if u open a crate motor they are done at delaware so it s not worth it for the money or there rep.

The rules stipulate that the track is responsible for the cost of resealing a crate motor if they are torn down and found in compliance. The cost to the race team is only their time to pull and reinstall the engine. If it's found to be illegal - then, at the track's elective they can confiscate the engine (only seen that happen in the U.S.) and at minimum, all points and monies won are lost, including any prior events. Some race tracks then suspend the team as one track did in Florida - for a year.
