This is your weekly fan-in-the-stands rundown on the events and activities at Delaware Speedway on Friday nights. I'm not a real reporter, I just play one on the internet, and I make no claims to get the report right 100 percent of the time. Sometimes I can't even decipher my own chicken scratch at 2 in the morning.Hey...You get what you pay for. ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Shadow Report - May 28, 2010Well we started off the night under a hot sultry sky, and with the full moon in the offing, the general consensus was that we were in for a wild night. It was an awesome nights racing for sure, but never reached the levels of craziness normally associated with a full moon, which in this reporter's mind is probably a good thing.Demar Aggregates TrucksTonight saw the return of 7-Derek Clark, who took a couple weeks putting Humpty Dumpty back together after a wicked crash with Jeff Showler on opening night. Derek made a pretty good showing for himself until getting caught up in some stuff during the feature...fortunately it didn't look as bad as the first time. Derek's Facebook status showed a little thank you shout out to the Perkins SS team for some help thru the week and I'm sure he doesn't mind me passing that along here. Heat 1Didn't see much of heat 1 as I was sorta busy at the time. 1st to 33-Fothergill, 2nd to 56-Showler, 3rd to 55 AdraiensenHeat 2 saw 99-Koricina leave them in the dust while 31-Howard and 01-Bloemendal fight it out for 2nd. Howard gets the best of that battle leaving Bloemendal to slug it out with 00-Johns for 3rd...a battle Johns wins. 1st to Koricina, 2nd to Howard, 3rd to Johns.Demar Aggregates Trucks FeatureWell, we're used to some rough and tumble racing from the truck gang and they certainly did not disappoint tonight. We start with Johns on the pole with Adraiensen alongside, then McCaw/Showler and Clark/Bloemendal. Right off the bat theres a banzai move by McCaw to the inside to shoot past the front row, and when they come out of 2 he's in 2nd behind Johns. Adraiensen, Showler and Clark go three wide down the backchute for third place, which Showler gets the best of. Showler makes quick work of McCaw and goes to work on Johns. Now Showler's doing a power move on the outside of Johns and almost makes good on it when the caution flies for 4-Thompson who goes spinning in turn 1. Then an unfortunate restart where they come down to get the green and Bloemendal blows his motor heading into 1. 4-Thompson gets caught in it and connects hard with the inside pit wall. Lengthy red for cleanup.Now on the restart, SHowler dives low and under Johns to take first. Showler knows Fothergill is coming and seems eager to put some distance between them, and he does. Fothergill has broken free and is in 5th when the next caution comes out, this time for 75-Depius and 99-Koricina who are spun on the backchute. Koricina goes back on the hook.Now after this restart, Showler once again takes off and the battle is for 2nd between Johns and Adraiensen with Fothergill closing in. Adraiensen gets Johns loose and the three of them go three wide down the backchute, when caution flies one more time, this time for 93 Matt Koricina. Now its a 4 truck battle for 2nd between Johns, Adraiensen, Fothergill and McCaw. Fothergill makes an outside move to get past the lot of them and pulls alongside Johns for second. Adraiensen comes out the worst in this, spinning in turn 4 and collecting 7-Clark. Now after this restart, Fothergill is working Johns for 2nd, managing to push past, and taking MCCaw with him. Now its Showler, once again checked out on the whole field, then Fothergill, McCaw and Johns. Johns seems to be slowing slightly, and McCaw almost seems to be having some problems, with a lot more flame coming from the bottom of the truck than normal...but it doeasn't seem to be hurting him too much. Fothergill is on the hunt now, and it doesn't take too many laps before he's eaten most of Showler's lead. But Showler played his cards right tonight and Fothergill didn't have enough laps left.1st to Showler, 2nd to Fothergill, 3rd to McCaw, 4th to 77-Zagarodny, and 5th to Adraiensen----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Super StockHeat 124 Richmond takes the early lead with 84-Smith right on him. Great race but Smith couldn't get around.1st to Richmond, 2nd to Smith, 3rd to 76-ReidHeat 2Lidster takes the lead followed by 5-Hewitt. 28-Lawrence and 60-Ott have a great side by side battle for 3rd, which Lawrence wins. then Lawrence makes the pass on Hewitt and brings Ott with him. 1st to Lidster, 2nd to Lawrence, 3rd to Ott.Super Stock FeatureSuper Stock feature starts with Lawrence on the pole with Ott alongside, then Lidster/Richmond and Hewitt/Reid. Right off the get-go, Lawrence takes the lead followed by Lidster and a side by...

It was Tyler Hendricks in the 9 car, B Watsons old car.

So that was never Watson at all?

And yeah, I was wondering in the 2nd race if that was actually Jamie 33, or if they just renumbered the car.

Hey Shadow, thanks for the recognition. It was two long weeks. Approx. 150+ man hours of work. It felt great to run up front, well, till lap 12 anyway. Oh well, thats just racing! We had a lot of fun, considering we had no idea what the truck would run like. We didnt even get it on scales until practice last night.

Was never Watson in that car, and we just renumbered the car, I was in the stands for the second race, might be in the stands this friday too, not sure yet, we'll know better tommorrow.

I fixed the report. At one point during time trials I was pretty sure Jared called the 9 car as Brendan Watson so I took it as is. I hadn't got to the LM end of the pits before the festivities began.

Streetstocker33 - Hope its not too bad Jamie. So what happened there anyway? All I saw was you and a couple of our "wild cards" spun on the frontstretch. Hope the damage wasn't because you drove it in instead of letting em' tow it. You looked kinda cheesed.

Ernie - Yes JuiceBox was definitely faster than Lidster for the first part of that race. Great showing for them. And I beleive it was 75-Depuis that Koricina got mixed up with a couple tiimes.

We'll definitely talk more. I'm afraid you got me while I was trying to nail down the starting order for one of those races. I've been trying to keep certain stats, but getting official starting positions has been a little bit of a trick so I'm doing it myself. (one person gave me one way to get the lineup last week, then another member of the scoring team gave me a little grief over it this week...so I'm just staying clear of the scoring tower and writing em' down best I can as they pull off pit road.)

If I'd been at my best I would have shoved over and welcomed you to the world famous Richmond Row. (that was Stephen Richmond's Crazylady Mom beside me...who apparently doesn't like us anymore here on CRO :P)

Sorry my head wasn't there. I'll buy ya a Delaware Dog next time out. 😉

Truckguy - Great to see you back on track...you were looking pretty good out there. Maybe even better than before!

Maudsley...you're the man. Great shots to go with the report. You guys get over to Maudsley Motorsports and buy some pics...or some insurance. (very eclectic guy. :D)
