The problem racing on Delaware is the serious damage done when a car spins and hits that inside wall.  Not being there, but knowing exactly the scenario from both drivers point of view, I'm guessing the #72 has suffered a ton, repairs and costs,  and if #10 feels it wasn't his fault, he would be upset any penalty, suspensions or black flags hurt in a differnt way, but much worse if you feel it wasn't your fault.  Things happen fast at any track where cars are running close. At Delaware the damage is magnified  because of the higher speeds.

I hope Jesse returns to Delaware, it's not good for one of the fan favourites to quit. I'm sure Jesse feels it's not his fault at all, and is protesting any penalty. From the Shawn's point, he more than likely feels it could have been avoided.

Jesse could come to Flamboro, and yes we are doing better. We've worked hard to keep the rules close and racing fairly sane, but we're not perfect, drivers or decision makers.  If I had my choice I would tell Jesse to return to his home track and visit us when he's not racing there, the same for all the Delaware cars.

I've been very critical about Delaware's decision to allow Crates to be messed with, in spite of that I hope their car count returns and someday soon we can have a Home and Home series.

Flamboro is doing great now, we're not bragging or saying we got it right, but we (me for sure) are thankful car count is up.

PS..count on David and I to be at the Summer Showdown

Gary, that was very nicely put especially coming from a legend from another track. It's obvious you're dedicated to improving the sport itself and it'll be a pleasure to see you and your son at Delaware this summer

I think a problem is when someone makes a mistake in the middle of the corner then coming out of the corner they think they can just drive down into you to get the bottom back. Its a real pain in the a.. in every class and we all do it. we have to when its a 1 lane track. was jessy wrong... no but someone crashed and its hobby racing. we all have choices to make. the guy that crashed made one too.... the wrong one. Blocking or trying to block when you cant stay down in the middle seems to be the biggest problem. all this is jmo.

The biggest problem lately (not necessarily in the LM) is/are drivers wanting to use the "Kyle Busch" or JR Fitz" line on the track. Go in high, cut  down through the apex and go off high. I've seen it mentioned on these boards. That line is and was used to either cool or save tires. You cant race that line. KB used it after the battle with DJ to cool his tires (ironically DJ started using it before KB allowing KB to be able to cool tires). JR Fitz used it because he had a straightaway lead without pressure. Cool the tires, save them for next week. You can also use the line to help fix a bad setup, but not while under attack from behind. Use it when under racing pressure and the car behind will be down on the line under your car and you'll be spinning up the track 1/2 way to the apex. Its happening alot recently and I think the eyes on the track are seeing it and understand, the lead car is at fault.
The issue with the 72 and 10 comes down to one of 2 things, IMO. Either the spotter of the 72 messed up or the driver ignored the spotter. Either way, the 72 paid the price.

dude this "line" you speak of is what you get from having a set up race car that doesnt cool tires off or any of that jazz when you can roll it through the center like Kyle Busch or JR  thats what you get ... I really don't know where people are getting this "Special Line" crap from ... every racers goal is to get it to rip through the center as fast as possible to carry the most speed down the straights ... you  watch everyone that is fast and they square the corner a bit which is EXACTLY what KB and JR did ...  you are right you cant race that line cuz the guy running it is a mile out front ..
