Well i think it was fine, when you have a truck that is fast as Paul's (#88) and a truck that is blocking in front of you , it is fine to give him a bump (bumper to tailgate) kinda giving him notice that he is faster and wants by!(Delaware officials or #00 truck didn't seem to have a problem with the pass) Paul is by far the fastest truck out there (week in and week out)and has not been given much room or respect at all this year. On 3 different nights this year that truck has been given a rough ride (chopped down in turn #3, resulting in the box of the truck up on the wall, cut off coming out of #2 resulting in going up the wall or just been given a hell of a bump into the tire coming out of 4) There is a lot of hrs and hard work every week that goes into that truck and it shows on the track, with 3 feature wins this year already (could have been 5 feature wins) Give a good , hard driver some credit where credit is do!
To Paul's credit, I also thought that delay-of-race call was a little off base. I won't say the officials didn't have a point, but it was "iffy". (When its borderline I'd tend to err on the side of the driver.)
But I think the success of the 33/88 team is commendable. People can say what they want, but I've noticed a number of times over this season when it looked like everyone on the track wanted a piece of them, plus a few instances where the yellow stayed in the holster a little too long after something happened to one of them. I'm not saying you have to like them, but you have to admit the officials and the other trucks have sure made em' work for it.
In regards to this night: More questionable in my opinion was the 00's chopping down on Hosang in the final laps. I won't say it was maliciously done, Johns is a pretty good guy, but it still shouldn't have happened.

If you look at the tape , the #00 doesn't actually chop her down, Hosang let off the gas , if she would have stayed on the gas , she would have had that position !!
I dunno. It happened right in front of me in turn 1 and I was watching. It looked like 00 chopped down.
Wish I had access to tape!
