Thanks for the update Gary. Best of luck next year. Didn't look like you were doing too shabby out there. Glad you're OK.
I have read a lot of posts tonight. It seems there are a lot of stories within the stories. Racing has a history of stories and it would come as no surprise to me that a number of people who look to be counted out will make race day yet. At the end of the storm it always clears, racing blood has some very unpredictable ways and that old saying just maybe comes into play.
Good Luck ........ & hope you all can make it back.
We are done indeed. The truck is pretty bent and twisted up. As far as the engine goes, we know that it's separated from the transmission but still not sure of the full extent of the damage there. Cab floor, dash and roof buckled, engine shifted and tilted, headers crushed, distributor jammed against firewall, steering column bent, etc., etc.
Jim, thank you, your offer is very much appreciated but I think that truck is toast. A few parts look salvageable, and the driveshaft, box, and rear end are probably OK but the frame itself is done. Not sure what the next step is, but it looks like this season is over for us.
Kathleen we are sorry about your car, but really glad that you weren't seriously hurt.
Thank you Janice, still pretty sore and I keep finding new bruises but it's all very minor, and my chipped tooth can be fixed. Could have been much worse!
Yeah...that's a vidcap. Looks like we get the awesome Late Model finish for free, but if you want the crash then you have to buy the DVD.
Pretty shrewd huh?
😉
