A lot of talk about people not holding their line...
I think the issue is more with drivers, whom are newer to Delaware, "diamonding" the corner. For those unfamiliar with the term, it's when a car enters the corner really high, cuts down sharply to shave the apex, and then exits the corner high.
It's a line that is almost necessary at tracks like Varney and Grand Bend, and when everyone is running that line you don't have any problems. But it's not a productive Delaware line. Even if you find it works best for your car/truck, those behind lose patience with the person in front who is using both the inside and outside grooves to get through the corner. With a track like Delaware - which can be single-grooved at times - entering high is an invitation to dive under as openings to pass can be tough to come by. Then, when the outside car goes to make their "diamond" and cut down to the apex...contact. Both parties are upset.
It's not that the outside car didn't hold their line as much as it's that they used a line that invited trouble.
From up top, There was one heck of a bang when the 55 hit the wall! hope he is okay. Then, i think everybody behind him piled into everybody else. I think the 16 got 3 or 4 hits, 01 was on the wall, either the 88 or 33 was on the wall and hit by the 7, who was hit by maybe the 8. I feel bad for all those guys and girls.
Rumor has it that they got it on video. Hopefully it'll turn up somewhere.
Randy Thompson's sister got it all on Video We sit down the vary far end of turn 4 I'm trying to get in touch with her to put it on Youtube or send me it too my computer That was one big wreck and I hope everybody will manage out OK Glad to see nobody was hurt

Yes indeed it was a heck of a race all the way through the field. That was the kind of race when I'm afraid to look down at my pad to write something, lest I miss something.
Man, Showler was just getting bounced around like a pinball. Say what you want about him, but if the 56 comes out on top for the championship, you'll know there's no question he earned every point.
But it was a good win for 75-Depuis too. Unfortunately, his win will likely be overshadowed by the way the race ended. Its was time for him to take one sooner or later. I was standing just in front of Shawn Dupius while the race was going on. I can tell you that Uncle Shawn was just a little excited. As a post note - Although the caution flew for the whole turn 3 schmozzle and cut the race short by a couple laps, I do not believe that anyone would have been able to catch the 75 in the 2 laps that were left. No question in my mind that he won it fair and square.
